Chase Covers Rain Demos
The main difference between Chase Cover and a Chimney Cap is the face that the Chase Cover itself takes the place of both the frame and the lid of what would be considered a Chimney Cap. In these two examples each Chase Cover has 1 hole and has a drip edge that helps water divert away from the chimney itself. The major difference is in the design of the chase cover the cross break. A cross break designs in the case of a chase cover helps in the slight efficiency of making sure rain water disperses from the top of the chase cover.

Single Flue Chimney Cap Rail Demo
In this demo we see a single chimney flue cap. This is an example of a chimney cap that might we might see go on top of a flue that also has a chase cover (see examples above). Notice how this small flue design is still excellent at blocking water from entering the chimney flue is a perfect addition to a chase cover for installations that require an active chimney. These simple designs are a cost effective option when going with a basic chase cover or with a straight pipe chimney covering.
